This place was an amazing find. I only came here because I had a groupon and I'm so glad that I did. The service was excellent, Pro Tip: Sit in the dining area attached to the back of the shop. There was literally nobody there and we got treated very well by the staff! Food was on point. Fries were hot, burgers were good. Chicken tenders were awesome. No complaints!

Run from this place! We walked 30 blocks to have burgers at the famous Alaska Stand! In its place was the Atlantic Stand? For starters the guy on the grill literally hands the pickles to the server out of a styrofoam container... NO GLOVES! The worst part is that he looks around first to see if anyone is watching. KINDA SHADEY! The quality of the meat is poor and you can see where the cook cut up the middle so it cooks faster. I would not doubt if is was frozen. But it was surprisingly well seasoned & the white American cheese was smooth and creamy. Unfortunately, I'm not fooled by a POLISHED TURD. And at $6... Not worth the toilet paper to wipe my ass of it. OVERALL: 1/10

I don't want to put 1 star on a place I went to 10 times a year for 35 years, my dad took me here. But I will never go back for a cheap chili dog that costs 5,50 each, they are great small cheap dogs, but bought 5 for the family and it cost 30.00. Your pricing yourself out of business, very sad to walk by and it's empty. Hope they catch on! My condo building and friends feel the same! Its a shame

Have been coming here since the 60s. The old Alaska stand be came the new Atlantic Stand. I thought it couldn't come close but guess what, it is actually better. Had a groupon and was able to get the best deal on the boardwalk for an even better deal. Sat in the dining room and there was a most delightful waitress whos name I can't recall but she went out of her way to be sure we were happy with our choices and everything was done well. Had the Cheesesteak which was luscious, bigger than most I've had in town. My sister had a chicken salad which had just been made from chicken cooked on site. BTW I am a health inspector and they are actually doing it the way it is supposed to be done! The owner was smart to do groupon since it has made me a longtime customer again.

We ate herebecause it had air conditioning on the interior of the restaurant and it's hot outside. Outdoor seating is available as well. The waitress we got did her job but wasn't the best which is the only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5. The food was excellent and the prices were good. I highly recommend the fried chicken. If you're a big guy i'd get 4 pieces. Also the french fries are awesome. I can't speak for the other food but looking around everyone seemed happy and content with their orders. I'd come back here if I was looking for some good cheap fried food or a cheesesteak etc. Hope you give it a whirl if your in the area. Enjoy!

Since my parents were first married, going to the Atlantic Stand (then called something else) was a family tradition. My sister and I were so proud to take our families for the great burgers. We were shocked and astounded when we were charged $7.65 for Old Bay Fries that was a smaller portion than the regular fries and didn't use authentic Old Bay spices. When we confronted the clerk and cook, we were rudely told, "that's what he charges." I will not go back. I will not recommend this restaurant. What a way to ruin a memory. The food was good, but the service and prices were not good...especially when there are so many other choices on the boardwalk.

We went here because it was raining and it was lunchtime and they have outdoor seating on fixed diner style stools with an awning overhead so we could stay dry while we ate and yet could still look around. The place looks very clean (even the plastic sign board looked spotless) and the counter top had been newly put on. We had a cheeseburger (thin patty but cooked well served with whatever condiments you want, small hot non-greasy fries, small iced tea without sugar (yes!), water and a large chicken wrap sandwich, which totaled almost $40 (including taxes). That's pretty steep for lunch but we thought it worth it due to the location, the fast friendly service, the cleanliness and overall ambiance. We noted on our way out that they have an indoor eating area with booths if you want to take your food in there. We didn't check the bathrooms but will next time as we are sure to come back as we like the outdoor dining stools and counter top style.

Been around since I was a child -- I miss their breakfast buffet location on 50-something street when I was a child, but oh well. Anyway, Atlantic Stand serves up the best hamburger on the beach and a top tier chocolate shake. The fries are above average -- not Thrashers -- but they are good. The small, air conditioning dining room is a nice option on a hot and humid day.

They are not open even though at this moment on yelp they are. I went 2 weeks ago to Ocean City. Yes its the off season but I thought the place would be open considering they're selling yelp and groupon vouchers. Perhaps they should only be selling the yelp/groupons when they're OPEN.

I had the turkey sandwich and Boy was I glad that I chose it. It was so delicious too delicious that I wanted to grab another one. Having said that it was a bit pricey to go get another one LOL. The fries were delicious, however it was way too salty but that was the Perk of it. It was also the only stand near benches and chairs to sit down with the family and well.. EAT.

I Got the $20 for $40 groupon based on the reviews here on yelp. I couldn't be more disappointed. The food here is overpriced and doesn't taste good. I got the $8 bacon cheeseburger. It was barely the size hamburger at McDonalds. The junk fries were barely a one person serving of fries, for $7.95??? Really?? My fiancee got the chicken and she said it had a fishy taste. The service was horribly slow as well. When you see this place just keep walking!

I would normally give 5 stars but this year the food wasn't as good as it usually is. I did have a Groupon for $40 of food. That gave 6 ppl a burger or chilli hot dog. No drinks or fries. Again was very disappointed this year.

My yearly guilty pleasure burger. The one place (besides Thrasher's fries) that I make an effort to get to each year I get to visit Ocean City, MD, is Atlantic Stand, just to get one of their burgers. Some years, I even splurge a bit and get two of them. Most people would probably say their burgers are nothing special, but for me, well, I just have to enjoy the taste of those wonderfully fried little patties that are topped with cheese and placed on a nicely toasted bun. The fries that you can get at the stand are not bad, but given that Thrashers is pretty much just down the block from this stand, there's really no reason to settle. Sit at the bar/counter, or grab one of the always busy tables with the umbrellas and enjoy the burger, hopefully without having one of the seagulls that are always in the area drop into your face to try to steal a bite of the burger or bun.

I absolutely will not return here again. There was one waitress and service was very slow (even though it wasn't busy.) The food was mediocre at best. There is also no kids menu??. It was very overpriced for what you get. Honestly, this was the worst meal we had on vacation. We were extremely disappointed.

I've been going here since I started going to Ocean City. Every year we would go to Ripley's and then meet afterwards for a bite to eat here--we still do. Its basically your stereotypical food shack making American classics right on the boardwalk. We liked to grab a table with an umbrella, but instead this year we ate on the diner bar because all of the umbrellas were gone (why?). Service isn't as fast as it could be, nor as slow. The location is key, as its right by Jolly Roger amusement park and right in the mix of people walking aorund in the boardwalk. Read: great people watching. The burgers here taste fresh and are made well, even if they're just plain hamburgers otherwise. Their fries are good, but of course they don't measure up to Thrashers right down the boardwalk; but then again, their prices on fries don't start at $5 for a small bucket. Their milkshakes are thick and flavorful. They seem to try to ration you on ketchup packets, but that seems to be an old Ocean City thing as I've seen it elsewhere. There is vinegar available though, another local thing. All in all there isn't anything else to say: this is classic Americana and its where I go every year. Give it a shot if you're hungry in this area!

I'm a secret lover of carnival food! Namely, the corn dog (shhh). The Atlantic on the boardwalk serves up one of the greatest corn dogs that I've ever had! I suggest you forget about counting calories, do yourself a favor and indulge whilst in Ocean City.

This is one of so many food stalls on the boardwalk, but for me it definitely stands out. They have typical American junk food and seafood fare, but they do it really well. I love their "junk" fries (chili and cheese) and their split hot dogs, and basically everything I've ever gotten here. I love that they have birch beer. You can walk up on the boardwalk or they have a small seating area inside. I was a little disappointed recently to learn that you can't get breakfast items all day, but still, if I'm on the boardwalk and want something yummy, I usually come here. Note: cash only. Also, they do have a website: atlanticstand.com .

Alantic Stands is your typical boardwalk food fare but it will not disappoint. The fries were ok (I've fallen in love with Thrashers but that is another story) the hot dog with chili and cheese was very tasty and my hubby said that his hamburger was good as well.. Me and my hubby decided to eat at the counter. This place is a blast from the past.
